Grafton Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting

Hybrid Format

Call to order: 10:15 am

Public Comment: none

Treasurer’s Report: Our Capital Fund drive has been very successful. We have collected about $37,000 so far. $10,00 will be transferred.

Librarian’s Report: Michelle will be away for her trip to Spain. The library will remain open and staffed by volunteers. We have been approved for the Summer Performance grant and will use the funds for a concert in September at GES. Several repairs have been taken care of – Sarah is done in the garden, Ray Lisai repaired a shutter, David Ross installed new flood lights, and Steve Nolan has repaired the damage to the handicapped ramp.

Old Business: All electrical work is on hold until an electrician can be located.

Jay reported on his visit with Vermont Foam, we reviewed the bids and voted to go with Jay’s recommendation of Vermont Foam.

New Business: The Librarian’s evaluation was reviewed with high praise for the job Michelle is doing. Compensation will be discussed on Michelle’s return.

After the cleaning out of the books in the attic, we can parcel out the task of taking them to be recycled or placed in the Fireman’s sale.

Lucia will get the name of the carpet cleaner for an estimate. She will also try to contact Kathy Cray to see if she has any interest in the antique dolls.
