Approve minutes of last meeting:  approved

Treasurer’s Report:  Financial report is up to date.  The Annual Appeal is beginning to come in.

Librarian’s Report:  Michelle has applied to the Grafton Improvement Association for funds to replace two library computers and one of the air purifiers.

The 2024-2025 Financial Report has been submitted to the Town Hall to be included in the Town Report.

Michelle attended a Department of Libraries webinar: Public Facilities Preservation Initiative Grants for Small and Rural Libraries.  This is a HUD grant opportunity to repair and maintain older buildings.  The board voted to proceed with the application.

The two book clubs, Nature and Books and Banned Books are very popular.  Both will continue next year.

Kathy Cray presented a fascinating Neighbor to Neighbor program, The Women Behind and Beneath the Quilts.  There was a full house of  enthusiastic participants.

The Neighbor to Neighbor program will continue in the new year.

Our Gingerbread House Extravaganza was well attended and well enjoyed, but we had few houses submitted than in previous years, possibly due to the date falling on the weekend right after Thanksgiving.  We will brainstorm new ways to approach this event to see if we can boost participation, including a decorating class at the library and possibly offering homemade prepared kits.

Bill Toomey will repeat his enormously successful story telling program on the 19th from 7pm to 8pm.

Old Business:  The power washing has been completed.  Tyler took care to avoid the areas with the most damage.

The work to get bids for the roofing, exterior work and painting is on hold during the HUD grant application. We need estimates, but not bids, as accepting bids now would disqualify us for using any HUD grant funds awarded for these projects.

New Business:  The Trustees decided to go into Executive Session to discuss volunteer policy. The policy will be similar to our employment policy.  The board was unanimous in support of the need for this and Mary Beth will offer a draft at the next meeting.

The board review the Annual Narrative Report for the Town Report, which was offered by MaryBeth.  With minor corrections, it was gratefully accepted.

Next Meeting:  Monday, January 26, 2026, 10:00 am
