Preschool Story Hour

Preschool Story Hour is a special time each month for preschool children and their parents.  Children birth through age 5 enjoy an hour of activities such as stories, songs, rhymes, and fingerplays.  Join us on the first Saturday of the month from 10-11am at the library.

 

Activities for Raising a Reader

·      Attend story hours that include songs, rhymes, finger plays, etc.

·      Read stories with rhythm, repetition, and rhyming words

·      Play with language through the use of poems (Mother Goose rhymes are great)

·      Talk about story characters

·      Allow children to handle books

·      Visit your library

·      Use wordless books to tell a story together
